This phenomenon can be caused by factors such as coffee beans being roasted too fresh, too much or too little coffee grounds, uneven distribution of the coffee puck (improper distribution or tamping), and unsuitable grind size. These factors cause hot water to flow through the coffee grounds, which have less resistance, leading to splashing of the coffee liquid during extraction.
