Usage Recommendations

1. Gentle vertical stirring : When using, keep the needle inserted vertically into the coffee grounds and gently stir in circles or make straight back-and-forth motions to break up clumps. Avoid using too much force, which may cause uneven coffee density or fine powder to sink and form voids.
2. To reduce the height of the coffee grounds , tap the side of the portafilter 2-3 times (from a height of about 5cm) after distributing the coffee grounds. This will compact the coffee grounds, remove air gaps, and reduce the height of the coffee grounds by 10%-15%, making subsequent tamping easier. The tapping force should be even to avoid coffee grounds splattering or uneven distribution.
3. When used with a powder applicator : It is recommended to follow the process of "needle-type powder application → light vibration → powder applicator leveling → powder compaction". The powder application needle first eliminates static clumping, then the powder applicator is used to further level the surface powder layer, and finally the constant pressure powder hammer is used to vertically compact it, reducing the risk of channeling effect by up to 40%, and significantly improving extraction stability and oil fineness.
